Lija Joseph, MD

Dr. Joseph is a board-certified pathologist, receiving her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kerala in India and completed her residency in Pathology at the Trivandrum Medical College, University of Kerala in India. She also completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Missouri, Columbia and a fellowship in the Hematology Dept. of Pathology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Joseph is a proud member of College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathologists. She received the Red Sash teaching award from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for the class of Class of 2003.

Sonali Ayar, MD

Dr. Ayar received her doctorate in Pathology (MD Pathology) from Indira Gandhi Medical College in Nagpur, India and completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.  

She completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and in Onco-surgical Pathology at the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute in Ahmedabad, India.  

Dr. Ayar is an active member of several professional organizations, including the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the Massachusetts Society of Pathologists and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. 

Bethany Tierno, MD

Dr. Tierno received her Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Boston Medical Center where she was chief resident. She also completed a fellowship in hematopathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.

Madhavi Rayapudi, MD

Partner

Dr. Rayapudi received her Doctor of Medicine from Guntur Medical College in Guntur A.P. India and was chief resident during her residency in Anatomic/ Clinical Pathology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Rayapudi completed a liver pathology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Texas San Antonio Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas.

Kremena Star, MD, PhD

Partner

Dr. Star received her Doctor of Medicine and her Doctor of Molecular Genetics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. She completed a residency in pathology and fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Gastrointestinal Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in affiliation with Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Star is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical pathology. 

Sanket Choksi, MD

Pathologist

Dr. Choksi received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research in Gujarat, India. He also earned a Certificate in Hematology/Urinalysis from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He completed his post-doctoral training with a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Medicine. He received additional post-doctoral training as a hematopathology fellow at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. 

Dr. Choksi is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. 

Cheryl Ennis, MD

Pathologist

 Dr. Ennis received her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Dana Semmel, MD

Pathologist

Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

Dr. Semmel is a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist. After receiving her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Miami, she completed pathology residencies at Boston University Medical Center and a fellowship in Women’s and Perinatal Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
